shipping golf clubs

Anyone ever shipped golf clubs before? I'm playing for four days in Oregon later this summer, and I'm getting sick of hauling the damn bag around the airport. I can do it ground with FedEx for about 40 bucks each way (from Austin), but was curious if anyone has ever done it.

I always use FedEx for my clubs. I don't trust airlines with my sticks.
