Shipping a Car

one of my friends is starting grad school at usc in the fall, and is thinking about shiping her car out to LA, instead of driving it there. does anyone have any experience with this? any idea how much it may cost and which company to use? she will most likely ship out of houston to LA or santa monica. any help is apprecieted. thanks.

First off, your friend is making an impeccable choice by selecting USC.

I had my Land Cruiser shipped from Houston to Sacramento 2 years ago and it cost me $800. I was charged more because Land Cruisers are extremely heavy. I used A1 Auto Transport, but you can go here and get several quotes with one inquiry:

Thanks, I needed the info as well. Since they charged more for your Land Cruiser, maybe they'll charge less for my Miata.

I'm still driving the other car though... how long is the dirve from Austin to LA? Is there anything to see in between?
