jWhile some internet posters have been too hard on DJ, BO's pt is valid. The potential for inj to Jordan just went up. Part of the transformation a young man experiences involves getting a full picture of how your behavior effects others.
Having said all of that, I'm glad to see Ship back there. Even so, I hope he doesn't have one return. In an ideal world, we would begin the game by kicking off and then stake out a comfortable first half lead.
Shipley has been the 2nd string KR all year and has returned several. It has been DJ & Malcom as 1st sting and Shipley as the 3rd option. So it is no surprise that he will be in there.
Whenever I watch Shipley, the thing I am most amazed with are how quickly his feet move. Watching thing that replay, he's moving fast as heck, but his feet move in hyperdrive. His footwork is amazing, it's no wonder how he beats DB's constantly with his double moves (his post in and up move comes to mind in the Colorado game, or was it Mizzou?)
I really don't understand when people say it exposes him to more risk of injury. He will run back at most 3 or 4 kickoffs. He probably has more of a risk getting hurt by catching a pass in the middle of the field. Plus whens the last time one of out KR was injured during a KO?
