Shiner Special Leicht

Yet another Shiner thread...

Just saw this in the store - label said 'Shiner Special Leicht' (or something very close).

Is this the same as Shiner Light- with different packaging, or is this one of their seasonal brews?

Have not heard of this, but reading on the internet implies that "Leicht" means some sort of low alcohol of low carb beer

took a tour of the brewery today. it's a low calorie (99) summer beer.

Did they say if/ when they're coming out with Kolsch (the old Summer Stock)?

I did not ask. I will say that everybody needs to go to Howards. Convenience store on the left as you drive in from Austin. $1.75 draft pints of Shiner.
