Shiner 99

Found it last night at my HEB in San Antonio. A Munich Helles lager. Bright gold, under a thick white foam. It carries a malty sweetness, and strikes a good balance with spicy hops, without the bitterness of a pilsner. It was good stuff last night, and I just might have to go get another 6 pack for Q this evening.

Thank goodness I read this before I made the family's weekly ten o'clock run to the local HEB. I'm in.

Shiner Black Lager smokes a mean turkey, btw. Thanksgiving rocked.

My HEB was 99-less. That was underwhelming...

No reward for shopping at eleven o'clock on a Sunday night....

HEB at Parmer and IH-35 had it a couple of days ago. Pretty good, but I like the black lager better.
