uh um RE-READ the op----didn't make one mention of ku deserving their ranking.
sheesh, man. collins is a thug; and will be arrested one day.
 
Damn a seer in the crowd, I for one would have loved if we had recruited Collins to Texas, and if we had half the noise that a KU crowd has then the Drum would rock every game.
That was a physical game on both sides, basketball gets that way especially in the Dirty dozen conference.
 
not a "seer" just someone who pays attention and watches KU quite a lot. Every game he's like that---trash talkin' trash.

I agree wholeheartedly about the Allen Fieldhose noise level. But our problem is not just the venue its the culture of basketball at UT.

Sherron Collins is no thug. He came in as a freshman made the biggest 3 in school history and has progressively become one of the top PGs in the country. Sherron Collins is what happens to a player who is coached and coached well for 4yrs. Going into the tourney KU has a court leader at the PG position, KU has a true/very good PG and a presence in the middle with Aldrich, who also played in that NC game as a frosh and become a good big man. 4yrs under Bill Self and a very good chance to book end their careers with Final 4s/or national championships.
 
^^^ we will just have to disagree about collins' sportsmanship( read lack thereof) but I will agree that we don't have a point guard or coaching up of a point guard, which wasn't the point of the op...
 
I don't know about his trash talking. He did come from a tough background so he's had to mature a lot. He's definitely proved himself a winner on the court since he has more "w's" than any other KU player. Wish he was my team.

1962, I"m not sure you are the right person to judge thuggery since you would have preferred the Aggs Coach to have kneed him in the balls.

good point about me getting the players mixed up on the 3pt shot. oh well, collins is still a badass and I'd take him any day.
 
M.Jordan is the biggest trash talker ever in the NBA, L.Bird was a close second, R.Miller was a classic trash taker, The GUY in Cleveland talks a lot of trash. They all backed up their mouth much like Collins does.
I also hate Kansas Bssketball .

Lots of college players talk a lot of trash to each other another little bit that does not please everybody.
Talking trash is not a criminal offense as far as I know.

Prop Joe , I know that your link was to inform and support the OP but the case was dismissed and here is the link. Just to clear the air and personal actions and ideas.

Collins' lawyer, Chris Burger, and the woman's lawyer, James Wisler, agreed to file a motion requesting a dismissal with prejudice. Does anyone know what this means other then what is explained in the article.

I don't need a legal verdict or a poll to tell me when I spot a thug...I've watched him play and interract up close for awhile. Glad you like him. Rock Chalk.

Considering the infighting between the football/basketball athletes at KU over the summer, they got more than their share of thugs over there.
