i finally got a chance to check out the AMP video on RS... i really like the way he carries himself. he's got the right attitude, good goals, and gives back to the community. i hope following his dream of playing for the longhorns can come true

Agreed. I read some very classy quotes from him over on OB.

I wish him well wherever he ends up. Hopefully, it's in Austin.

This kid really needs to come to texas. In my eyes he will win the QB battle with Gilbert. He's that good of a runner. The passing game will come along, but he looks very impressive as a runner. I thought John Chiles running was good. This kid is more Vince like then Chiles. To me, it's a no brainer, Mack, you won a Championship with a dual threat QB. You haven't won one without one. Choose the better runner of the two and give Shep a chance.
 
After reading some more quotes from him, it looks like the only way we get him is if we have a QB transfer or some change positions. We are not going to have 6 QB's on an 85 man roster. We do not even have 6 DT's. Chiles is never going to make it at QB, he does not even pass as well as K. Stewart.

If Sheppard is that great of a runner it sounds like we should be recruiting him as a running back.

By the way Gilbert will win a National Championship as a Texas QB. That guy looks smooth as butter and he is only 16 years old. That still amazes me.
