Shelter in place... ain't this some ********.
Man this sucks. I was really looking forward to this weekend. I shelled out some cash for a couple of nights at Barton Creek. Now I am stuck at home waiting for Ike, with my wife, my brother and my Mom. Oh hell...
Worst part is I cancelled cable a couple of weeks back and then couldn't the satellite guy to install till tomorrow. So now I got no TV and house full of relatives.
I might survive Ike only to be torn apart by my family Greek tragedy style.
Of course "shelter in place" pre-supposes that my shelter is not my 1957 original construction West Houston death trap.
Another big if are the forty year old oak trees that will no doubt fall like bowling pins onto said death trap.
Best case scenario is some moderate rain... and I spend my Saturday afternoon watchng games in a largely deserted Texadelphia... worst case scenario is... Well think Noah.
I suppose it is at least a chance to loot my neighbors homes while they are gone.
