Anyone remember the Saturday morning show from the 1970's with Billy and Mentor? A movie is due out in 2009.

Holy Crap! I remember that show! This and all the Sid & Marty Kroft talk is taking this Board really old-school...Haven't had time to look through the episodes listed, but will later. I had the biggest crush on Isis...wow, it's amazing what you remember...

Makes me wanna jump on my Huffy Barnstormer (with the cards in the spokes) and eat rock candy!

No I don't remember Shazam, but I do remember Kazam, the Rapping Genie!!! Shaq is an allsome actor.

Hell yeah, are you kidding me? A superhero that lives and drives around in a Winnebago!!! Hell's yeah.

Also in the same time frame was the sister show, Isis.

Anybody remember Run Joe, Run? It was about a military or police German Shepard mistakenly thought to have attacked somebody. His owner/trainer let him free and he roamed around the country saving people, helping kids and being a good dog. But the cops, like with the A-Team, were closing in and in the end he had to abandon some kid or family to maintain his freedom. He could here the words of his owner..."Run Joe, RUN".

What about the Shmoo? "Shebah!"

Run Joe Run and Shazam! both rocked Saturday mornings.

Isis was just hot.

Yes she was. I was still a little kid and girls still had cooties. But I knew something was different about this one, this Isis. She and Wonder Woman. I knew they did not have cooties and if they did they had the ones I wanted. Oh, and Farrah Fawcett-Majors had the catching cooties. And so did Jill on the Love Boat, various hotness on Fantasy Island...

Ok, do you remember that there were two different actors that played Captain Marvel? I found a couple of Shazam episodes on youtube last year and found them quite enjoyable because they were so crappy. Good memories.

The problem with the "new" Captain Marvel was that he was all fat and his gut rolls were hanging over his utility belt! Very un-superheroish.
