PW closed the last 3 minutes hard, but still lost 69-61. Desoto and defending state champ North Crowley have also advanced.

Williams went for 30 in Duncanville's 77-40 win over EP El Dorado. That's 53 in the last two games now.

They play the winner of Cedar Hill - North Crowley tomorrow at 1 for the right to play in the Erwin Center next week.

Cedar Hill rallied from a large deficit and hit a last second jumper to advance to state. Shawn gets left one step shy of Austin for the second straight year.

I have a good feeling about SW. The other two kids (Bradley/Hamilton) coming next year will get a lot of attention, and deservedly so, but I think when it's all said and done Shawn will do quite well for himself.

I saw them play earlier this year on T.V. and they looked very selfish on the court. Did that type of play continue? How can a team with that much talent not win state?
