Sharing Files with Home Network

I have a wireless network setup at the house. My desktop is hardwired and my laptop is wireless. I want to access my music files, from my desktop, while on the laptop. All of my music is on the desktop and I would like to be able to access it or put it on my laptop whenever I feel the need.

I did this with mine.

I think it was as easy as hitting Start; My Network Places; find the folder where your music is; and then right click; sharing and security; then check the box - "Share this Folder on the Network."
