The best part abput day games is going to Shady Grove that night.Something for everyone....all the way from chicken fried steak and chiliburgers to gourmet salads, etc. for the light eaters.Plus, what is better than sitting outside on a fall evening in Austin. And they have t.v.'s so you can watch other games, not to mention the Longhorn highlights.Hook Em and I'll see you there.

So I love shady grove it rules. I went last week and tried something I have never had there before. The Meatloaf. I am not a meatloaf fan but it rocks at shady grove.
Everyone needs to try it.

NOTHING... and i mean nothing beats a green chile cheeseburger and matching fries at 11:00 a.m. sunday after a Longhorn victory on the patio. You'll need a fork and shiner bock.

PC: gotta disagree, buddy...

Shady Grove is great! Their chicken fried chicken is spectacular, as is their pesto ranch dressing.

And the scenery is always quite nice!

So what South Austin food treasures would you recomend to us, PC?

Austin is not a food mecca -- Dallas, Houston, and even San Antonio have much better food on the whole. Where Austin has them beat is in atmosphere and that's where Shady Grove shines.

Shady Grove has tasty burgers, cfs, cheese fries, and other similar fare. It's not the best food in the world, but we're not talking about oso buco or roasted duck, are we? Pretty hard to screw up a burger and fries... and Shady Grove doesn't.

I'm going back there a week (I live in Northern Va)--where is this Shady Grove place?
