Servicing a treadmill?

We have a Schwinn electric treadmill. The roller is sticking. We have lubricated it, tightened the belt, etc. Still not fixed.

Does anyone know who services these things? If necessary, I can load it in my truck and take it in, but would love a service call to the house.

Any advice?

Probably the bearings are shot. Or more accurately partially shot with probably one of the ball bearings no longer round and smooth.

However your post did remind me of a true story that I once read in an OSHA magazine. Where I guy who worked in a factory "serviced" the belt on his piece of machinery. Apparently the fellow slipped and got caught in the belt and it ripped off one of his testacles. He was doing this on his lunch break.

What he did next was even more interesting, does he leave work? Nope? Does he seek medical attention? nope. Instead he grabs a stapler and staples his now empty sack closed.

OSHA would have never known about it except the staples got infected, he went to the doctor and filed a worker's comp claim....

I assure you, that's not the problem here.

And I sterilized the staples before I used them, so I shouldn't have that problem.

Actually I still think a blown out ball bearing is your culprit.

Still you gotta have balls.....err.. ball? To take a stapler to your sack... Then again the fear of being discovered and explaining to your boss and co-workers what happened might make the alternative seem much worse than the pain of the staples.

I have the same problem. From the info I found online, its cheaper in the long run to buy a new one. I found an awesome deal on a Life Fitness folding model and pulled the trigger on it today.
