Serious: Giving Bob Stoops some credit.

This has nothing to do with on the field or the rivalry. It has to do with being human and a nice gesture.

Tonight while watching the show, Undercover Boss, the COO of the MGM Grand property went undercover. A Blackjack dealer was a 62 y.o. Vietnam War veteran. He mentioned he is a big Sooner fan and the COO was too even though he went to UNLV. I did not get how but hey, it happens.

The Vet was awesome and had a good story as many somehow do on this show, hmmm. It turns out that the surprise for him was courtesy of Bob Stoops. The COO is friends with him and spoke to Bob about the Vet. Bob gave him some seats in his private box for the game of his choice with his family. That is so cool and the guy was about to burst into tears.

That is so cool to see a fan of a team get something like this no matter who the team is. Bob also provided a helmet signed by himself and others whose names I could not tell. Maybe it was just a message?

Anyway, it meant a lot to that man and it was a great gesture for Stoops to do when he did not have to. Hats off this time!

Oh, the game the man chose? The Red River Rivalry game in October! Duh.

I smile in anticipation of his heart being broken as he watches his sooners get their asses kicked!

Nothing against the guy personally, I smile in anticipation of all OU fans being heartbroken as they watch their sooners get their asses kicked!

What was Stoops thinking? Sending the poor guy to a place where 40,000 people will tell him he sucks and toss cokes and spit at him-I thought he wanted to honor the veteran for his service.

Obviously you have never been to Owen Field, Gaylord Memorial Stadium. I would tend to think you were in Irving, TX a few years back though.

Seriously, he spends one day a week at the local children's hospital and several of the players volunteer at schools. It certainly ain't like the eighties.
