Who holds bigger sway on next leader, DJT or McConnell ?

I can't decide if I want Cornyn to win. Obviously he's from Texas and one would assume that would be good for Texas to have the Senate Leader, but Cornyn has not been as tough on illegal immigration as I would want. We have a fantastic chance to really do something with immigration this time. We have the POTUS, the Senate and possibly the house. And the country is in the mood for much tougher rules on immigration.

Is he the right guy to lead that charge?

I'm not a Cornyn-hater like some and don't mind him being in the leadership, but I wouldn't want him to be Majority Leader. Let him chair Judiciary or a committee that deals with energy policy.
