[Son of a Son]

Worked security for a sneak preview, and let me tell you, too much Will Farrell can REALLY hurt you. Don't get me wrong, he was great in Old School, and absolutely perfectly cast in The Producers, but you really can get too much of a good thing. He is SO over the top in this it just becomes horrible. There were 2 reasons I didn't walk out, Woody Harrelson and, well, I was working. Woody is the only thing that held this movie together, and that fact scares me.

I am sure this movie has a niche and that there are those who will swear it is incredible, but the fact is, Will is mailing it in now, and not even trying. I shortled a couple of times, but that's it. Hope this helps you guys.

Farrell needs a strong director who will say "No", but he is too big a star for that.

 

[Third Coast]

With all of the good movies out, I would never go to a theater to see a movie with Farrell as the lead. Not even sure if I would rent it on DVD. I would probably wait and check it out when it gets to cable. Easy to just change the channel.
