Selling a house without a realtor

Can anyone here recommend a good listing agent for posting to the MLS? Would also like to hear from anyone who has done this and maybe had a good or bad experience. I guess they do not necessarily need to be based out of Dallas. I am considering this option for listing our home.

Forgot to add, does the fee always have to be paid upfront? Would be great if I only had to pay the fee if the house sells.
