Shop around and compare prices I just rented one here in San Antonio. They rent them month to month (like an apartment). Apparently people pay their rent monthly as there was a steady stream of renters dropping off checks while I was signing the contract.
I got a break on the price because I paid up front. I got an even better rate by paying for 6 months instead of the 5 that I needed. Seems like things such as first month free was sort of a standard discount.
