ESPN has finally added 2018 commit Sedona Prince to their Watch List and provided a scouting report after seeing her at this month's Boo Williams Invitational:

Boo Williams Invitational-April 2015: Agile low-post performer with off-the-charts potential; length, wingspan, shotblocking presence with superb mobility in uptempo game; emerging offensive threat; rebounds, outlets, initiates fastbreak.

I watched Sedona Prince play at Boo on the live stream. She moves very well for a player that size, she also gets off the floor quickly on her second jump. She didn't get very many touches on the block but you could certainly see the athleticism. Sedona Prince and Nancy Mulkey, who play on the same team are night and day when it comes to mobility and athleticism.

Mobility and Athleticism: That was my biggest concern with Prince after hearing her compared to Mulkey repeatedly and watching Mulkey on last year's U17 team. Not knocking Mulkey, anyone that tall at that age not named Griner is probably going to be a bit awkward.

Y'all are absolutely right with your assessment. Sedona is able to move laterally and vertically up and down the court not only much better than Nancy Mulkey (this is obvious), but she moves much better than recent de-commit Charli Collier. But where she struggles is with a lack of strength as I saw her get stripped of the ball not only by other posts, but also guards who came down on her from the perimeter. But time is on her side to grow into her body.

The more I read about Prince, the more I hope she does stay with her verbal to Texas. She sounds like she will be an awesome player. She and Shae Routt give us an excellent start on the 18 class.

Saw this from Girlz Prep Report earlier today:
"First look at '18 Sedona Prince left me somewhat speechless, everything I heard was on point"

Here's a recent photo of Texas commit Sedona Prince blocking the shot of recent Texas de-commit Charli Collier.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Stats from game….Charli Collier 14+ points ( inside and outside shots on Sedona), Sedona Prince 2 points. Different players, in deed. Charli is not just a down low post….can do more, and did more. I applaud both young, 2018 athletes, as they are representing the class of 2018, strong. Its gonna be great to see them mature in all areas.

Comments, such as this, is expected…..all of a sudden.

I would be thrilled if Collier were to change her mind again and commit to Texas in due time. I expect a LOT of fans agree! We are also enjoying watching Prince develop and hoping she still thinks Texas is the right choice in a few years when it is time for her to sign.

No one is dissing Collier, that I'm aware of. I think most people here would love to see her commit to Texas -- I know I would. Regardless of what CC decides, I'm excited to have Sedona Prince.

I agree, when I watch Charli play she reminds me a lot of a healthy Cokie Reed.

I want both of our recent decommitts to check out the other schools and come back to Texas. Still want Sedona to maintain her commitment to the Horns. Basically, I want them all to come to Texas.

Not sure I agree with your assessment. Regardless, if Charli decides to recommit to Texas, everyone should be ecstatic - she has a rare skill set at her size. Put her and Sedona in the the same frontcourt and we should all be doing the Snoopy dance.

it's not likely that they were going head to head. Prince is a true center while Collier is a power forward. There is some overlap as both would be in the paint primarily with Collier more likely to step outside. Prince has the height and coordination and speed to be a nightmare matchup inside on both ends. Collier has the advantage in a more polished offensive game but might have not fitted as well as other forwards in what the coaches want to run. Now Jada Williams vs Charlie Collier: that matchup should have been fun to watch.

I would love to see Prince at the five and Collier or Williams at the four for the Horns.

She competed against Charli, if you go back and watch the usa video of Sedona there were a few clips of her guarding Charli and vise versa. You're absolutely right about hopefully being able to get both players.
