Secured Loans

Went to my bank today (BoA) to see about getting a secured loan and was told that they do not make secured loans (using a car as colateral).

Is there an institution that handles this type of loan?

that's the old "finance company" product. Beneficial Finance, Household Finance, etc. Those guys are long gone.

If you need to do that, you might try a local used car dealer. They may be able to arrange that type of thing.
