Secure file transfer

What are my options for secure transfer of large files online? I looked at YouSendIt, but it seems to be limited to 2 GB per file. I need to move several files at a time that will sometimes exceed that total size.

Free is good, too.

can you not archive the files? use something like .rar format. That will auto break up the file size to smaller sized files.

Thanks. These are 40+ minute 24 bit 44.1kHz audio WAV files. I'd rather not break them up.

Fortunately, the intended recipient just gave me access to an FTP site, so that should do it.

If it needs to be secure, then use SFTP instead of FTP.

Archiving them as Rar's doesn't break up the original file. It will "wrap" and Compress you wavs into Rar filles. So instead of a single 1gb file, you may have ten 100mb files. After sending them, when you uncompress, it will reconstruct the single file. It's kind of a pain, but if you try to send a 1gb file, and get connection problems halfway through you'll have to start over. By RARing it, and sending it a chunk at a time, the most you'll ever lose is one chunk.
