Now is the time to show your genius.

Which quarterback(s) was/were dying to sign with the Horns, but we rejected him/them for no good reason?

Save this thread for 2019 when we know the answer and you can earn accolades for your superior talent recognition.

Oh, be sure to factor in the character of the athlete. Like, you know, don't we wish now that Johnny Football (Heisman trophy winner and confessed rehab star) were a 'Horn. How long would he have lasted in the Charlie Strong era?

Put it in writing so there won't be any revisionist history.

Quinten Dormady (pro style QB, 6-4, 200) of Bourne (TX) ranked around 200-250 is one we let go and never really offered. He came to our junior day and was interested, but we soon picked Gentry (who was top 100-125) and Dormady went to Tennessee. I don't think it was like the Winston or Barrett case of not picking up the call or anything. We talked to him a bit even after Gentry committed and he himself knew he would be going elsewhere, as he committed to Tenn 4 weeks later. We may have been reluctant to offer a guy very similar to Gentry (though we worked on Locksley from that time itself)

He *could* say in the future that Texas didn't offer. But that was due to circumstances. Had Gentry not jumped at our offer, we would have gone hard after Dormady for sure.
