Seaton appeared on the TV broadcast last night.

Tall kid, bright and articulate. Valedictorian of his class. Besides Toolame, drew interest from Rice, Stanford and Vandy. They made sort of joking reference that he overstated his interest in going to college so he could fall and sign with the home team. They were laughing, but the kid was on camera at that moment, and just going off facial expression, it seemed like there might have been some truth underneath it. But hard to really say from just 30 seconds of camera time.

Acording to Richard Justice he has a "94 mph fastball and a knee-buckling slider." Seaton said he could see himself taking the MMP mound at 20 or 21.

Astros went out of slot to sign both he ($700K + $252K for college, more than double the slot) and Brad Dydalewicz (8th rd, got $425,000 which is 3rd rd slot money. The pick before Dydalewicz got $100K). Next draftee up is 3rd rd pick Chase Davidson, 1B, Alpharetta, Ga., who signed with Georgia.
