Season Tix Next Year

I'm hoping to be in a position (finacially and geographically) where I can afford season tickets next year. Can anyone tell me what sort of currency I should expect to part with to get fairly decent tickets and how I need to go about it?

I think what OP is asking is what does the average fan need to donate to get average season tickets and maybe a realistic shot at TX/OU tics. I know when I saw this tread started, it interested me as well. I would like to have a general idea of what certain donation levels get you(ie:$1500 for a chance for BCSNC Tics)

You should be able to call them up and actually get an exact idea where certain levels of donations will get you.

Just as an example, we donate $2100 and are 38 rows up in the NEZ, front row goal-line at OU, and ~30-40 rows up in the EZ at each of the last two bowl games.

Cool...thanks for the info...I did fill out the form. I'm going to call them as well and talk to them.

Just realize that whoever you talk to at the Foundation, can't give you exact amounts for the coming year, because they won't be know until the contributions are final and the allocations made. They can only tell you what was allocated last year based on last year's contribution levels.

This year blowU tics were distributed at about the $750 mark I think.

If you can afford more it will be wise should we get to a good bowl again.

Also if you can afford it, the NEZ chairback area is pretty nice.

I have 4 tix on about the 35-40 yd line. - Sec 106. They are pretty high up. I donate $200.

I sat in the NEZ this year for the Kansas game (sec 118 about 20 rows up on the top level) and am thinking they were decent enough seats. Surely closer to the field, albeit with a less desirable angle/view.

My question, do you think I would need to donate more to get similar seats in the NEZ? I know, call the foundation; but, as stated before, can someone who has seats in that area let me know if its possible based on last year's donation levels?

No No No - the cutoff for OU this year was a $300 donation with a lifetime cumulative of something like $2K. So, anything north of $300 got you in last year.

Holden, They did not sell out of season tickets in the NEZ upper deck last year, and this is where the single game tickets were located that were available at the Texas Box Office site. They'll suggest a donation, if you ask, but you can get seats there for no donation. You won't be guaranteed the right to renew them, however.

I have three sets of tickets, and one is a set of four on the third row, aisle, dead center in the NEZ Upper Deck. These cost a little more because you walk down to them from the entry concourse, but the donation I make for these is $500.

Since they've already got you on the hook with your others, your best bet may be to just request a transfer to that location, for the same donation. They'll likely be able to get more for your existing tickets since they are yardline. Or you can add a set in your name, with it's own specific donation amount associated with it, or create accounts in your children's/wife's name, which I have done.

726, if you're in 115, you're right behind me. Otherwise, you're across the aisle. Getting those upper NEZ seatbacks is going to cost more now than what we are paying. A friend added to his 113, row 3 seats this past season and it cost him.

My guess is that they would be at least $250 per seat now. I'm not sure why the LHF didn't put a minimum on those seatbacks, but I'm sure glad they didn't. I freaking love those seats and that vantage point.

I have 4 tix on the NEZ row 26... love those seats... I donate $300 to the LHF... but then again, I started that 10 years ago when I graduated... I think people give 4 or 5 times that now...

I did get OU tix the last 2 years, but not before they remodeled the Cotton bowl...

I called the LHF and got some answers....I'm wondering if the entire NEZ lower level are chairbacks? Anyone know? I can't remember for the life of me

No, there are a number of non-chairback seat rows (I want to say around 50) below the NEZ chairbacks and the NEZ club.

The chairbacks are above the walkway, benches are below. That much is definite. I *think* that happens around row 50ish. To get a chairback, you will most definitely have to ask for them, as the minimum donation is $750 per seat. The people on the benches below the walkway likely pay much less than that.

You probably already know that you need to donate before the March priority deadline.

I can probably read this elsewhere but is there a huge advantage to being in the chairbacks? My dad went to some games after his knee surgery and we sat in the handicap seating right at the split between bleachers and chairbacks so I know the vantage point, but is there any other reason to request a chairback? Otherwise I'm thinking lower is better.

I have two seats in the NEZ chairbacks. Here are the reasons I like them

1. Nice wide seats with cup holders.
2. Not over crowded by people who are squeezing in the row/section.
3. Chairback club with beer sales/big screens/seating area.
4. Donation gets me in the range for bowl game tickets. Plus, I always get OU tix.

Ok...I'm hooked. I'm going to make my donation and request the NEZ chairbacks. I'm told its a minimum of $750 but I'm also assuming that $750 wont guarantee I'll get those seats.

LLB,

We also have 2 on the last row in section 16. And you are right, having that wall behind us is really nice.

I also would agree that access to the seats via either escalator or walking is easy.
