Just saw his stats on the season and he's made 9 of 10 cuts, 6 top 10's and the victory at Quail Hollow.

Is he on a once in a life time hot streak or is he a budding star on the PGA?

He's certainly improving over what he has been the last couple years, but I don't think he's gonna be the type people are looking for to challenge Tiger. I could see him as a guy who gets up close to the top 5 in the world golf rankings, but if you're looking for an up and coming guy who's gonna challenge Tiger, I really think you have to Look at guys like Rory McIlroy, Ryo Ishikawa (though he may still be a few years off), or Danny Lee. O'Hair first won on the PGA in '05, so IYAM he's just a really good player who's playing really damn well right now. Very good, consistent top 20-25 potential for the next 5-10 years, but not consistently top 3-5 in the world good IMO.

Top 20 for 5-10 year would be star level to me.

Comparing him to Tiger is for me on a completely different level. I don't think anyone 3-5 even remotely compares to him.

IMO, no one will ever challenge Tiger consistently. He is one of a kind not to be duplicated.

I guess I just misinterpreted what you were looking for then. And to me, to be a true "star" in golf, i.e. when you are actually somewhat close to a household name like Tiger, Phil, and at times Sergio or Vijay (think a couple years ago), you have to be top 3-5 in the world. I'd say there is a big % of "sports fans" out there who couldn't name 10 of the top 25 players in the world if you were to ask them.
