To me, it really captures the feelings the country had for this horse. There was just a connection.
The other movie that is like this is Cinderella Man. It does an unbelievable job of showing you the difficulties of that era and how much a man like James Braddick meant to so many people. It is still a crime that CM did not win Best Picture.
I watch these two movies a lot more than I should.
I love the scene where the trainer sees The 'biscuit for the first time, and the horse looks back at him as if to say, "What the hell are you looking at?"
