SE Missouri @ Texas 11/10/2024

Let's play better in the 2nd half. Too many turnovers and gave up too many open shots. 29 is too many points to give up in a half.

And why do they keep showing replays during live action? Didn't see the SEM basket. I know Rori is good, but I don't need to see her make a basket 3x and miss a minute of live play.

The entire broadcast leaves a lot to be desired. With the #4 team in mind, you think broadcasting kinks would not be occurring.

Better in the 2nd half, only gave up 18.

Laila and Abbie must both be injured or they certainly would've played.

I had hoped to see them, both. BUT, I'm really keen on Preston and Oldacre. AND, Graves got to play more this game than she did the past, two seasons!

I think you meant Preston, but yes she's very athletic. By mid-season the best line-up could be 3 G's with Preston at SG and Madison at SF.

My only downers this game are: Moore fouling out against this caliber of team; too may turnovers, and FT percentage of 70%. SEMO had no answer for Texas' bigs in the paint, but it will be interesting down the road to see if Texas has improved on 3pt shooting.

Nice individual performances by Jones, Booker, Harmon, and the younger players. What I like most about this game is that we weren't able rely solely on speed... we actually had to execute some stuff. There are good things to take away from this game, and still lots to learn from. Defense was better in the second half, but I saw several missed rotations in help side in the first half. Continued improvement from FT and 3FG will also be key as the season goes on.

Oldacre looks to be a good pickup from the transfer portal. A little slow but I doubt there will be very few who can push her around under the net. Justice Carlton has a body very similar to A-Mo. Rori hasn’t lost a step. Preston is fast.

Oldacre played on a Miami team that had 3-4 centers last year, including Latisha Lattimore. Thus, she did play limited minutes, but seemed to be second off the bench when I watched her play. I think she is good addition to the team. She reminds me a little of Reagan Beers, and I think she could be a good defender against her when we play Oklahoma.

Maybe it's just me, but I found myself wondering during the game how Oldacre might match up against Audi Crooks.

I give Audi the edge in mobility, but when it comes down to strength on strength? Man, it'd be a good battle.
