Scumbag Dog Owners on Town Lake

People who don't clean up after their dogs are pieces of **** as well. It's like a mine field on Town Lake in many places. Glad to see someone is bringing this issue up and proposing a raise in the fines.

It only takes a couple of seconds and a plastic bag to pick that **** up. I don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate and selfish. But I see it everywhere, every day.
 
Yeah nothing like dodging the poop of others.

Perhaps we just make it legal to toss turds at the owners who do not pickup their dogs crap.

Trust me.. Turd Tossing will take care of the problem quicker than the "scoop the poop" program. Probably only takes getting wacked once with a warm turd to help you to remember to pick up your dog's mess.
 
The responsibility falls upon the pet owner, but are there trash cans and poop bags out there?

(side rant) WTF is up with everyone naming their pet "Bella"?? Enough already.
 
Why would they raise the fine when no one really gets fined in the first place. Unless there are some dog poop police, or snitches I have never heard of anyone getting a fine.

I see it worst at dog parks (redbud) where people let their pets off leash, and they run around everywhere, and most people aren't paying attention.
 
I will tell people to pick it up as their dog is doing it. I then repeat. It works. They can think I am a dick all they want but hopefully they won't return to that area again or if they do, they remember that ******** who made them pick it up and make that a habit.

The trouble is enforcement. There is nobody with authority to enforce this code at this price or a more expensive one. If there is, they are spread thin and I have never seen anybody. Deputize poop patrols and have them enforce the code. I volunteer. There are many a hot chicas at dog parks and Redbud/Bull Run.
 
actually, at the fine level and at the amount of time to enforce, the city could make several thousand in a week just eliminating the problem with a couple of cops normally sitting on I35 at 10 in the morning on saturday morning.
 
Up here at Brushy Creek Lake Park there are plenty of trash cans and doggy poo bag dispensers at the beginning of the trails.

But there are also plenty of ******* dog owners who ignore all that and let their mutts **** everywhere then do nothing to clean it up.
 
Cities hire companies to monitor traffic lights and share the ticket revenue. How about somebody offer the City of Austin some help catching dog poop offenders for 50% of the gross fines. This could pass city council quick on the environmental aspects alone.

Fecal bacteria in lakes is big problem, right? I'll never forget watching about 5,000 people enter Town Lake for the Capitol of Texas Triathlon right next to a giant official sign that read "This Lake is NOT Safe for Swimming".

While on the subject of dogs at Town Lake, I hate those dog owners who stand on the far right of the trail while their dog is on the far left of the trail and let the leash take up the entire trail. Next time I run past these people I'm bringing scissors and cutting the leash. Then I'm throwing poop on them.
 
This reminds Steel Shank of when the family dog got old and started losing control of his bowels. He shat on the carpet, and when Steel Shank's mom saw the mess, she yelled "get the hell out of here, you **** ******* dog!!" Steel Shank thought that was pretty funny.
 
aggy could create a program for fecie hurlers, headed by the former Corps guy who hurled manure a couple of years ago. They would finally be top ranked in something...though their Vet's kick much ***! Fantastic Vet program. I actualy look for a aTm diploma for any Vet that will touch my dog.
 
I don't to change the direction of this thread towards the political side, but instead of giving people welfare, why don't we hire them to do stupid jobs like this. Just stand all day at a dog park (they can even bring their kids) and ask people nicely to pick up the crap. If a 50 y/o dude on a scooter can write parking tickets at UT, then anyone can write dog poop tickets at a dog park. If they write even $25 tickets, all they need to do is write 4 tickets a day to pay for their salary. It's just like welfare except only AHoles have to pay it.

I WOULD NOT be hiding in the trees or brush. I would have a tree costume or something to blend in. Much less creepy, sorta.
