Scrubs to return

Finally caught up with my Scrubs episodes on my DVR. I thought they ended the finale well with JD leaving. I thought the show went on a little too long. The Turk/JD bond was funny three seasons ago, but now.

Looks like Braff will return for six episodes and hand everything over to a new cast. Bad idea, IMO, just ask ER.

Good news that Chuck and Dollhouse look to be coming back though.

I actually thought some of the new cast members for Scrubs were pretty good, just not sure they can carry the show.

Scrubs coming back, means that Better Off Ted is coming back. As much as I am ready for Scrubs to be over, I'm happy for BOT to get 13 new eps.

I cannot recall laughing at Scrubs. I laugh through an entire eposide of Better Off Ted.

The difference, to me, is night and day.

I feel like I'm living in Bizzaro World when Dollhouse... DOLLHOUSE!... gets renewed, but Terminator doesn't.

Texanne, it seems as though ABC married BOT to Scrubs for this renewal period. Had Scrubs not made it, BOT would have been shelved. So be thankful to the show you've never laughed at.

As to Terminator/Dollhouse... opposite situation. Fox basically made it known that only one or the other would make the cut for next season. After the conclusion of their seasons it looked as though neither would be renewed. After two seasons, Term was not likely to find a new audience and frankly never got its barings. I guess they thought Whedon might be able to pull something out of his *** in season 2.

Chuck news doesn't look great, though. It looks like they are cutting the production value of it because it just didn't hit higher with the 18-34 y.o. men range.

They've ordered a partial season and it will be up against either something killer in the ratings, or they'll send it to Fri/Sat/Sun to die.

They're ditching some of the recurring characters (probably having to do with Buy More) and canning some of the writers and staff. Pretty much sucks all around, but at least we'll have one more chance to hang out with Chuck and Sarah.

It sounds like Chuck is moving to Sunday (Thank God it wasn't Friday/Saturday). As much as I'd like it to have a quality lead in (at least by demographic), Heroes flagging ratings hasn't been doing any favors for Chuck. As to the budget slashing... I'm not sure that is that bad of a deal. It sounds like they are going to have to give up one character, and reduce the minutes of a few others. This means less Buy More, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I think the good news is, if they can pull off getting one more renewal, there is a good chance it will be a long one, so that the network can sell the syndication rights.

The Olympics really screwed with the Spring schedule. Some of the shows are going to be half orders instead of full, like last year with the writers' strike. Poor Chuck

Community looks pretty funny though. I'll watch anything Joel McHale is in.

I'm a huge Scrubs fan, and every doctor to whom I've spoken about the show agrees with Maduro, but it's losing steam, and I thought they had what would've been a great finale. They need to let it die with dignity.

30 Rock is the best show why don't people watch it arrrrrgh

I love 30 rock. I thought it got really good ratings, does it not? i know its very left leaning, probably does not connect well with middle america but i think its very well done. baldwin is genius in that show, hysterical.

30 Rock's still up against Grey's and CSI, and some old folks refuse to get a dual tuner or switch the channel from Wheel of Fortune after dinner.

It's the smartest comedy on television right now.
