I read this story with disgust. This guy has every right to hold up a sign warning drivers of the cops. Have these idiots in Frisco heard of the First Amendment?

In addition, if warned, what will drivers do? They'll slow down. Well, if public safety is the goal, isn't that a good thing? What this guy is doing is only harmful if money is the real ambition.
 
This seems no different than flashing your headlights at motorists to warn them of a speed trap, which I do.

Sounds like some small town cops have overly large egos to me.
 
Ah yes, municipal government, which turns limited government conservatives, classical liberals and ACLU members into "beauty" nazis ready unleash the fury of city hall over the color of mortar between your bricks.
 
Try driving through Estelline, Texas without getting stopped.
 
Is this being treated as an “obstruction of justice” thing? Seems like maybe they could make that argument (?) if the cops are trying to enforce speed limits and someone is trying to compromise that effort. I don’t know.
 
Sounds much along the lines of people getting tickets or arrested for putting quarters in a parking meter before the meter maid person can write the ticket. They follow them on their route and quickly put money in to stop the person from getting a ticket.

There have been some that leave a business card or pamphlet to a charity in case people want to donate a little bit but it's still illegal. Others have just been pissed at the city and did it out of spite. Either way, people get arrested for that as interfering or something like that.
