we (OU) are obviously doing better in the Scout rankings than Rivals.

however, i am just happy to be getting such a huge class. the likelihood of those 3 stars playing like 5 stars only increases with the number you are able to sign. so out of the 15 or so 3 stars on rivals, i expect at least 2 or 3 will elevate at the college level.

so, while i am dissapointed we don't have a mike davis.... i'm happy the law of averages should play in our favor for this class.

What do they say about apples NOT falling too far from the tree?

notreally - i know what you mean for this one class, but the other law of averages will ultimately catch up overall. because there is the total schollie limit, if you add a huge number of 3 stars, you will then have to add a very high percentage of 4 or 5 stars in subsequent classes to average those out.

so i see what you mean about this one class being large, and odds are some will turn out - but remember you are also diluting your roster with alot of 3 star type players. then you have much less room for error in subsequent years to keep the right mix of 3-5 star players that gives you the best overall odds for the type success OU and TX want to achieve
