Anyone Got any tips on great golf in scottsdale..I know..its like askin for a good casino in vegas. There are tons, but I would just like some personal insight from folks who have played courses. Right now we are lookin at phoenician, troon, and kierland. Goin over memorial day weekend. Also, if anyone knows of any specials or has any hookups, lemme know. Thanks in advance

I played Troon North a couple of weeks ago. A really amazing course. I think next trip I'm going to hit the TPC or We-Ko-Pa (sp?).

Troon North is target golf at its best. You need to know your distances, and make damn sure you don't get out of the fairway.

We-Ko-Pa would be my first choice. After that, Greyhawk would be next. Troon North third. After that, I like Sunridge Canyon or perhaps the TPC Stadium course.

So, I'm headed to Scottsdale for business next week and staying at the Phoenician.

Should I play there, where I can get in 27 holes? Or should I try Greyhawk (Talon) or We-Ko-Pa (which course is better?)? I think I will skip TPC this go around.

Well, I stayed and played at the Phoenician a few weeks ago on a business trip. Great hotel/resort, but the golf was just okay. Not spectacular, but really nice.

I have heard from more than one source that We-Ko-Pa is the place to play. It's on an Indian reservation, so there are no houses built up next to the course, which makes it even cooler. I am definitely headed there on the next trip.

i was just out there over memorial day. I have to echo we ko pa. its a good place to play, tough little track. also rec troon north and grayhawk
