Going to Scotland in late July for 7 days and then a couple of days in Manchester/Liverpool before heading home.

We're doing a 4 day whisky tour and then 3 days in Edinburgh. I golf, but the others with me don't, so I don't think that's going to happen. We'll just miss the British Open.

Any recommendations? Pubs? Restaurants?

The Dunkin' Donuts in Glasgow around the corner from the train station stays open all night and is great for getting in out of the rain and picking up hot nursing students when you've missed the midnight train back to Irvine.

Really.

Where in Scotland are you going besides Edinburgh? I just moved down to London from Northeast Scotland about 2 months ago - lived there for 4 years and know my way around pretty well.
