is this service ok? its pretty much all i can get when i move to beautiful, majestic, mineola, texas. i LOVE road runner here in round rock, but unfortunately all i can choose from in mineola is Yahoo DSL and Cox Cable Internet. I would go with Cox, but they require you to have TV service too, which sucks cause I have Dish. so, is SBC Yahoo gonna be ok?

A year ago, I would have said run from SBC-DSL, but I've recently changed my opinion. The line has been relatively stable, and I got in on the $36/month plan for 3Mb down and 384-512kb up. (It's currently 384 up but they're re-provisioning circuits for 512 later this year.)

We have 8 computers sharing the one DSL line - credit card transactions over it, everything. It works great. Has not been down one time in 6 months.

I've had it for 5 years here in SF, and as much as I don't really care for SBC, I have no complaints. It's pretty freaking dependable.

I Miss SBC Yahoo. The best. After dealing with Comcast and Sure West, I would give big bucks to have SBC her in Sacramento. Damn Roseville pieces of crap.

So in other words, SBC Yahoo = the best I've had ever

I've had it for two years and I love it. You can ge the wireless home networking modem right now for 49 (after 99 instant rebate) and you can connect up to ten devices. Also the home networking modem has a business class firewall included so security is not an issue. If you have specific questions you can pm me
