Very enjoyable. Some of you purists will, no doubt, rail against loose ends or some such, but if you go to the movies to be entertained, this one will probably do it.
I saw it a few nights ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. (Hard to believe that Ferris Bueller is well into middle age! But he struck me as being funnier, in his understated tones, than Eddie Murphy).
Speaking of loose ends, though -
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
I have a hard time believing that the winch cable could handle the strain of a small car fashioned out of gold. Gold is almost as heavy as lead, for cryin' out loud. And since the winch was mounted on the edge of the building, how did they haul the car up over the side to get it into the pool? For that matter, how did they get it out of the pool to take it apart? (Or did they just disassemble it underwater?) Then there's the problem of these people smuggling the golden parts out of the building. Whatever. It was enjoyable, up until the major implausibility factor at the end.
