….....a violent, explosive, satirical unpredictable, rambling, energetic, funny, chaotic black comedy comprised of six unrelated (except for style and tone) short stories of varied length and substance from Argentine screenwriter/director Damian Szifron, offered with excellent English subtitling and nominated as Best Foreign Language Film by the Academy Awards for 2015.
It didn’t win that Oscar. but I found this film quite worthwhile and very recommendable to cinema fans.
It’s rated 96% fresh on the Rotten Tomatometer.

At 2 hours of running time, I found it sometimes uneven; but always well-edited, well-made, interesting and very entertaining visual storytelling in a manner reminiscent of Quintin Tarantino’s movies.
The commonality within the six stories involved the civilized and/or barbaric reaction of people under stress, vividly depicted by both drama and comedy.
Very good movie making, IMHO.
I liked it fine for home viewing and so did my lovely wife.
Any thoughts?
