....and my imagination ran wild.
The Link
Pretty people, delicious dialogue, stylish screenplay, attractive actors, lush locations, lovely ladies, a bohemian Bardem, moving music, peripatetic partners, sexy seductions, copious copulation and bisexual beddings, hey looky here:
Woody Allen's made the most beautiful, classiest, most literate, most exciting, most interesting porno flick that I've ever seen.
Missing, however, are the gynecological closeups, the swollen organs, the grunting, the groping, the gasping, the jackhammer thrusting, the multiple staged positions, the sweat and other bodily fluids.
There have been pornographic fantasy films before, but this is different: it's a non-pornographic fantasy porno.
Woody left all the explicit stuff out, though it's easy to imagine if you want to.
Instead, Allen gives us amusing, cogent, profound, instructive tidbits about human relationships, human neuroses and human nature, plus a nice travelogue of the greater Barcelona metropolitan area, in this movie dalliance and narrated overview.
It's an entertaining flick and, I thought, the best one from the Woodman in a while.
My favorites still are the ones he's in himself, but I managed to get along without his appearance here.
Go see it if your life's a little limp and you could stand a polite film fluffing, that's exactly what I suspect Woody was enjoying himself.
