However, it was a half hour too long, IMHO, and the dialog was hard to understand without subtitles.
But, the story was simple and visual enough to easily follow along.
I recall 1971’s “Man in the Wilderness” starring Richard Harris, based on the very same true story.
And I’m not sure a reimagined remake was needed, but whatever.
Anyway, Leonardo DiCaprio and director Alejandro G. Inarritu got it done and I applaud their cinematic effort.
I, myself, could have enjoyed it well enough at home.
