.....with my dear wife and we each thought it was excellent.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, this biodrama tells the tale of Alan Turing who led the British team that cracked the German enigma code during WW II.
With great acting, fine direction and a good script, this movie often rose to the excitement level of a thriller, had plenty of human interest and was certainly more cryptic than "The Da Vinci Code."
IMO, this film was significantly better than the 2001 offering, "Enigma," which also revealed the secret and decisive wartime goings on conducted by the MI6 code breakers at England's Bletchley Park.
I expect and hope that this flick will be nominated by the Academy for Best Picture,
"The King's Speech" won four Oscars (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay) back in 2010, but, IMHO, "The Imitation Game" proved better in almost every aspect by way of comparison,
I thought this current cinematic offering had equally good acting and direction but told a far more important and a more interesting story about Great Britain in crisis and service during war.
I also appreciated how its exceptionally good soundtrack accompanied the action so well and moved this motion picture along.
We'll see what Oscar thinks.
Highly recommended for any lover of good movies and especially for all would be espionage enthusiasts.
This is one of the better and more entertaining films I've seen in a while.
