Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio are together once again on a ship that's doomed to sink.
This time it's the USS Matrimony.
However, there was no interesting location, historical drama, special effects or any character worthy of my empathy to keep me favorably engaged this time.
I hope someone enjoyed making this movie or enjoys watching it, but I found very, very little to like.
Personal viewing tastes always will, of course, vary, but I found nothing besides the good acting in this tragedy, if you have the inclination to watch it, to recommend here.
I thought "In the Bedroom," another mostly sad drama from a few years back, was an uplifting, instructive, even redeeming movie compared to this powerful downer.
By comparison, "Revolutionary Road" made the tragic content of "Monster's Ball" almost seem like "Dancing with the Stars."
Just my opinion.
