My wife makes this awesome white sangria fo rhte summer months, but I will have to find it and will post it tomorrow.

Sangrita - a tequila chaser from Mexico (not sangria, but it is tasty). I found this in my wife's recipie files and it is damn good.
1/2 Cup OJ
1/4 cup tomato juice
1/4 fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon minced serrano chilie
1/2 tsp salt
optional: 2Tbs hibiscus syrup (combine 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of dried hibiscus leaves and 1/2 sugar - simmer until sugar dissolves, strain)

usually we serve this in a small tumbler or a tall shot glass as a chaser for tequila shots.

ahhh, found it - this is my favorite and really kicks *** in on hot days:

White Sangria
2 ripe pears, cubed
2 lemons
2 large navel oranges, cut into thin wedges
1 sliced lime
1 cup green grapes
1 Tbs sugar (or more to taste)
1/2 cup grand marnier
1 750 ml chilled bottle of fruity dry white wine such as chenin blanc or savignon blanc
2 shots of brandy
club soda to taste

place pears in pitcher, toss with juice of 1/2 lemon to prevent discoloration - this step is important as the pears will look gross if you dont do this...
slice remaing lemon half and hte other lemon and add to pitcherpitcher with other fruit and sugar.
toss to combine
poun in wine and grand marnier
stir
add brandy

the best part of this recipie are the grapes an dpears that have been steeping forawhile in the sangria. They will **** you up.

this makes about 6 servings and we usually triple the recipie for parties and whatnot.

Wow, thanks for the receipes. I have been going to a Spanish restaurant lately and have been drinking lots of Sangria there. I really like the stuff and was thinking of trying to make some on my own.

Don't make life hard. It's not like Sangria is some sort of gourmet drink. Half Cab and half Fresca. Throw in some fruit slices to make it look like you did something.

Start with some wine
Get some apples and brandy and sugar just fine
Old friends always show up on time
That's why you add Sparkling Burgandy wine

Yeah I love that Sangria wine
Just like I love old friends of mine
They tell the truth when they're mixed with the wine
That's why I blend in the lemons and limes
