I had heard this term before, but didn't necessarily think it would be me. Single parent, working full time, with three teenage boys, and an elderly mother, fighting cancer, and going thru some nasty chemo. Sometimes it just doesn't feel like there's even time to breathe. Much less check out HornFans.

Godspeed, LadyLonghorn. Cancer used to be a death sentence, but no longer. My mom has gone thru it twice (chemo both times) and was recently diagnosed with a clean bill of health - for the 7th year in a row. Better days ahead!!

Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I truly do know that, in spite of the demands on my time that I face, I am blessed with three wonderful boys. They are great kids, good students, and always willing to help me and their grandmother. My life really is good, and I do have a lot to be thankful for. It's just more busy than I might prefer.

LL, don't know if Casting for Recovery applies to you or whether you'd be interested, but personal feedback from attendees is that it is a wonderful experience.
