Went to a few early games of the Duncanville Tourney last week. Got to see Manville(number 2 5A team in Texas) win and Texas 2015 commit Hosey had a good game (along with Briana Turner - Notre Dame). The team from Chicago (5 consecutive city championships) blew out Manville by 31 points in the quarterfinals. I was interested in seeing how Duncanvillle would do against Chicago. Duncanville was in control the entire game although the lead was cut to 15 mid-way in fourth quarter. Texas commits Foman had 22 points and Atlkins had 32 points.....with next Duncanville player with 4. So it appears that the two Duncanville ladies are real players at the highest levels. And Duncanville is HEAVY favorite for 3 state championships AND undefeated seasons in a row. I am excited for what they will bring this next fall to Austin..........as well as the other commited point guard ? who is also outstanding. No surprises here..........just validation of an exciting future for Lady Longhorn basketball.

Ditto. Enjoyed the championship game until 4th qtr when Chicago cut into the lead. Duncanville started stalling with the ball. Drove me nuts. This aggravates me and I think they need a shot clock. Chicago had to start fouling.

#12 Duncanville Atkins - STRAIGHT BALLER! I've been saying for years we need a baller. I think we have finally landed one.

#20 Duncanville Forman - fast as lightening! She is skinny tiny. She needs to put on 30 lbs.

#5 Manvel Jordan Hosey, Jr - She's quite skilled around the basket. She still has one more year and should be quite special. She will compliment Atkins very well. Slasher and quick as well. Eye for the ball.

Yes the future looks bright for the Longhorns. Hoping it all falls into place. HOOK'EM HORNS!
