Sanders has slipped 4-5 times this season

We had one, remember? We actively chose to replace it, so why would we need or want to figure out how to have a different one? The powers that be want turf, at least for now, no matter the dissatisfied opinions of random internet penny ante fans.

Ouch. Well, I guess the powers that be are never wrong.

Internet penny ante fans?

Like both of us. Penny ante.

We would both prefer to see grass, but neither of us donates enough (in my case, zero) to athletics to have any voice in the matter at all. We're penny ante.
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I don't know the benefits they see of this turf vs real grass. But, you are correct on that.

Bijan has slipped also many times in both week 1 and 2..even commentators have mentioned it...
Cleat length or just too shifty for our turf?
(Of course longer cleat length can adversely impact/increase likelihood of knee injury...which we have already seen too much of)

Perhaps the turf is aging a bit. Plastics hardens over time, and gets more brittle. It’s an antioxidant/UV phenomenon.

I’m talking about the “grass portion” of the field, not the crumbled rubber. I tend to believe though that the issue can be addressed to some extent by changing the shoes.

That field was put down in 2021.
And you know CDC et all spared NO expense to make sure it was the best.
The field is not the issue

It must be that @#$% training and equipment staff again.

First, some players are pulling muscles, now they're slipping.

From the top row of the lower west stands, with binoculars, the field looks worn. I assume CdC is waiting for the $EC move to put in new turf or, hopefully real grass.

vipe
This field was put down last year 2021. Do you think CDC would spend money in 2021(LAST year) on the cheap that could jeopardize our Athletes NOW for something to happen in 2 years?

I don't care if it was laid down last week - it is worn.

Like all plastics or plastic products, the turf is oil, carbon black, and methane gas. Over a period of time it will continue to omit syn gas into the air and seap oil into the ground, thus the asphalt and/or concrete.

There are two longtime law suits against producers for sick children in NJ & Conn.
