I will be in San Fran on a company trip and we just have one night available for leisure. We are eating at Mortons with others, so dinner is taken care of. Anyone suggest what to order?

I need to know if anyone has any recommendations on a night activity that is a must in SF. I am staying at The Westin St. Francis, so I would like for it to be something close to that.

I think I am more excited about seeing Alcatraz than anything else. I cannot wait for that tour!!!

While it is touristy, I usually go at least once on a trip to the Buena Vista and get an irish Coffee at the "home" of irish Coffee in the US. On those cold nights in the City, it hits all the right spots. That will take up about 1/2 hour ex travel time.

Not Serious Answer: O'Farrell's Mitchell Brothers.

Serious Answer: Are you a drinker? What kind of bars do you like? If you aren't a drinker, then nightime answers are more limited (at least for me). What time are you going out?

Yes, my wife and I are both drinkers. I am getting too old for the loud *** clubs and I am more interested in a blues club or something like that. I want to be able to hear myself think and enjoy the atmosphere.

there are couple of jazz bars in the city that I've been to.. boom boom room and Rasselas. Very close to each other. The band in rasselas- the Robert Stewart experience - was really good. They play every saturday. $10 cover.

Thanks for all of the information. My tour at Anchor Steam is a no go, closed on weekends. I will hit a Giants game instead and I am really looking forward to this trip.

I think Rasselas looks excellent and I may give it a go. I have never had Ethiopian food.

Biscuits & Blues at 401 Mason, a cool, intimate blues club with live music 6 nights a week. Not sure how close to where you're staying, but that's why God invented cabs. They'll make you feel like a regular and you'll want to go back. I do! www.biscuitsandblues.com/

Well, I got back late last night and we had a great time.

SF is a beautiful city and although the weather was not great, we really had fun.

Had dinner one night on the Hornblower, ate at Mortons, Sears, Chowders at Pier 39 and random other places. I got to see The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Lombard St, Pier 39, Chinatown, Union Square and room 1221 at my hotel. Although I did not go in room 1221. Also hit up Lefty O'Douls for some late night brew and shenanigans.

I did everything tourists do, rode the Cable Cars, took tours and lots of pictures. Also hit up Cobbs Comedy Club to see Frank Caliendo.

The highlight of the trip for me, was the trip to AT&T Park.

Bought tickets from a scalper for $50 each. I talked him down from $60 and felt like a champ! We had seats in Sec 105 Row 1, which is first base side behind a dugout birthday party. My wife and I got there early enough to enjoy the park, we raced down the slides and walked around a lot. Bonds promptly delivered in the 2nd with #739 to dead center! Got a great pic of him as he hit it and I will post it tonight. Also Klesko fell into the birthday party right in front of us as a foul ball landed in a trash can. Two girls dove in for it and I was dying with laughter. I yelled "Dump It" and they turned over the trash can as they fought. It was a great time.

I cannot wait to get back out there and see more of the city and hit up some of the same spots. Thanks for all of the suggestions! My two regrets were not getting to go to Rasselas and The Crab House.

Nice shot of the roid king there, Quadry.

Ah, how I love that town. Glad you enjoyed. Three weeks and counting for us...
