SAN ANTONIO HOTEL/MOTEL

My wife and I are going to South Padre Dec. 23 from Dallas area and are planning on stopping in SA for the night. We can't leave til about 1:00 and she can't stand a real long drive and SA will be pushing it.

I need a clean safe place to stay and would like to stay near I-35 / Loop 410. We will just stop, sleep and go the next a.m.

Google Earth shows La Quinta, Drury, and Hill Country Inn near there. Any pros or cons.

P.S. The Hampton Inn in Schertz looks ok. ???

I highly recommend the Drury Inn on 410 at Jones Maltzbarger. Owned by the Drury family, Has a connected parking garage, features suties, free Italian dinner, and free full breakfast. Nice, clean, safe. It's about 200 yards West of 281, which becomes I-37 downtown.
