Samsung Instinct?

Anyone using one of these yet? I'm on the fence between picking up 2 of these (one for me, one for my wife) or waiting for the next gen iPhone. I've only briefly been able to check out an Instinct @ a Sprint store & although it's not an iPhone it's comparable in several key form factors, priced lower, & the All Everything plan is appealing (esp. since I get a significant service plan discount through my employer).

Any real world users got any feedback they want to share?

I've been in the market for a phone for the last few months, doing alot of research. I was leaning toward the instinct but found out sprint makes you sign up for their all everything plan which is $99+/mo. that kind of killed it for me...

I got one last week. For $69.99 a month I got 450 talk time minutes and unlimited everything else. The phone itself depends on what you want to use it for.
When making phone calls it sounds good. Text messaging is good also. The navigation is really cool.
The web browser sucks. Hopefully someone will come out with a browser that is user friendly.
The 2.0 megapixel camera and video work pretty well also.

Depends on what you are using now. If you have a Smartphone- you will be sorely disappointed. If you want it to download music & check e-mail, etc., maybe for you. It does not sync to outlook calendar or any other information. It will only sync your contacts- and pretty poorly at that. This is not a Windows Mobile compatible platform.

I would wait for some software upgrades before making this investment.

Well I ended up picking up an Instinct yesterday & so far I'm impressed. It's not replacing a smart phone & I'm not going to sync it to my work email or entourage. The gui is fairly intuitive with a few quirky things but overall I'd give a solid B+/A- so far.

The highlights so far are the haptic feedback when typing, the GPS nav, & a very slick voice command system. The download speeds are generally very fast although the Sprint TV is hit or miss. Watching CNN provided constant audio but the picture would freeze every few seconds but I wasn't in the strongest signal area when I was testing this. I also like the fact that it comes w/ 2 batteries that are relatively easy to swap out (getting the battery cover off on back is surprisingly awkward & I was afraid I was going to break the damn thing the first time I tried it).
