Samsung DLP tv's

I'm looking to buy a DLP tv and wanted to see if anyone has one. I've looked at the Samsung HLP5063W DLP and think this is the one I want.

Anybody have any pro's/con's about this model or suggest something else?

here's what I can offer... I have at home a 42" Sony Grand Wega LCD-proj....
my parents got a 46" Samsung DLP for their beach house..

after playing with both for extended periods under normal home viewing conditions I have to say the Sony is better.... both have nearly identical resolutions with a slight edge to the Sony... the Samsung seems to have a bit more of a greenish tinge to it...
also.. the Sony has a nice feature that allows it to adjust the screen aspect to whether or not you're watching an HD channel or not... I cannot figure out how to accomplish this with the Samsung and as a result to best view the channels you have to have the tv remote handy to switch between wide and normal views....
the main advantage I see to the Samsung is the size... for some reason Sony puts a large base on their tv and non-removable speakers on the side which make my 42" actually larger in overall dimension than the 46" Samsung...

go to a store.. test them all.. play with the functions between normal tv and HD channels... don't let the salesman only show you the HD channels.. take the remote and play with the audio/video settings to see how easy the tv is to configure and use... THEN make your decision..

Samsung is a good set but when you compare it to the Sony LCD and the new JVC HD-ILA, you can see some of its flaws.
It has some what of a green tint to it which is seen a lot in DLP tvs, it does not fair to well with motion, and it does not have great modes for expanding a 4x3 image and filling the screen. If you are in Austin let me know and I can help you out, I work for A&B TV and I have all these units on display right next to each other so you can make the call yourself. Just let me know you saw this on Hornfans.

I've been looking at these sets for a while and I'm not sold on the Samsung DLP's. I just got back from Circuit City after looking at the Hitachi 50vs810 rear projection LCD. The picture was the best of any DLP or LCD in the store. Sells for 3599.99. They make a 60 inch which CC did not have in stock. Check this set out before you pull the trigger.
