Sam post-game comment

Dunno. But last I heard, volleyball and soccer is doing pretty well.
VB is fine during the match. The issue is running off the court and not standing for the Eyes. Soccer is a mess going nowhere quickly. I realize CdC had bigger issues to deal with at the time of the last Kelly extension, but that program is stuck in the lower half of the conference.

I played VB on the Armed Forces Team and, as a consequence, I am a big VB fan. Until this year, I watched every VB game (the only Women's team I care about). No mas.
My 10 year old watched the other night. She doesn't understand all of this. I couldn't stay in the room with the SJW talk during the broadcast.

Shook is from Plainfield, about 20 minutes from us. We watched every game last year and have tuned in for several years. Like you, no mas for me.

Several of Charlie's players were chiming in on twitter after the game, attempting to make the decision whether to retain Herman a racial issue
Interesting when losers continue to speak up on things and people listen to them. I'm not saying you are listening to them.

CDC is the problem too, IMHO.

CDC is at least as much to blame as Herman for allowing this cancer to spread. Once Texas President Jay Hartzell announced we were keeping "The Eyes", CDC should have told Herman to get on the bandwagon. Herman didn't have to make the players sing if they didn't want to, but they should have been required to honor a Texas tradition with their presence. Instead Herman's little snowflakes were allowed to retreat to their safe space.

He just mentioned splintering to Craig Way. He repeated it and said that the team needs to come together and that splintering helps no one.

As if I needed confirmation that both the short-term and long-term future of this program is in serious disarray.
Again.....Sam proves a more astute coach than Herman

There was supposed to be a players-only meeting yesterday

It will be interesting to eventually learn what is leaked out about what was discussed and what was the result of the meeting.... if anything.

I suspect Sam, as a key leader, would be quite vocal about pulling together and everyone playing 100% - 100% of the time, etc.

This meeting could be a key time for this program. More team "splintering" or complete split coming?

Splintering could be seen in the post-game decisions made by the players. Going your own way while others go their's can be seen as splintering.

They need something that binds them together. Hopefully that would have been the desire to win. That may be the only thing that they now hold in common.

Since Sam stayed for The Eyes, I'm sure he was called a racist by his teammates. That's the liberal uneducated snowflake way...

I didn't hear it in context. Did it sound like he was talking about within the team only (which I assumed) or could he have been referring to all parties involved...team, coaches, fans, etc?

What can possibly come out if yet another team meeting
You are either with Sam(and a few others) or you are not.
I think most if the team showed they are not.

I wonder what @Htown77 had to say about what would happen back on June 13:

Eagles Requesting Campus Changes

We saw what happened at Missouri. When some of the players ignorantly and wrongly went after the "Eyes of Texas", it fractured the team and the season was done. Instead of putting a stop to it, Herman lost control. Herman should be fired today. All the ignorant troublemakers should be kicked off the team.

For those siding with the stupidity of the players, how is that working out for you?

Also, North Carolina won today. 7 years later, I wonder if I was right when I argued quite forcefully we should keep Mack Brown in 2013 or otherwise go back into the wilderness.... I just did not know the wilderness would bring us a coach as bad as Herman who would divide the players and fans and attack the fans and school traditions themselves.

Charlie Strong may have had the worst on the field results of any UT coach, but the arrogant ***hole douchebag Tom Herman is by far the worst coach in the Texas Football history when looked at holistically.

Oh, and football-wise, anyone could seeing bringing in his b***-buddy Ash from Rutgers to run the defense was a terrible idea.
I was 100% on board with keeping Mack, terrible decision
