SAM and DICKER the only members of this team that sing THE EYES???

Seems to me that the University/Administration/Coaches/Players have one pivotal question to answer: Is it simpler to replace players OR is it simpler to replace a large portion of the fan base & donors?
Do they know this is the choice they are making?
Hope so.
Truth is, though, if UT had been assertive in the first place, not many players would have rebelled.

Bang. I am 100% in agreement with this. I can't believe I just agreed with the AAS. I may have thrown up a little.
BTW, Bohls lost a life long defender and apologist (for him) when he proclaimed in September that Herman took a courageous stand this summer. No Kirk, he didn’t. He sold out.

Bohls chose the wrong horse and his lack of insight will haunt him for the rest of his career at the AAS. Let’s see if he has the integrity to admit that he completely misread this matter.

Is there really any doubt that the enduring image of the Herman Era (Error) will now be Sam standing alone singing the Eyes of Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

Not that surprising. They said they wouldn’t and lost a game that they shouldn’t have. They were destroyed knowing that the season is over now. I’d have been in the locker room too. I think the reason Sam stayed was to distract from his horrible play.
Nonsense! Dude, if I ran this board I’d ban you for life.
The courage that man showed is something special...not only in the game but by standing true to his beliefs.

Dion,

Please reprimand Joe and prevent the use of Korn Fairy on these boards. Profanity is not preferred, but I'd rather sit through a six hour lecture from our players than have to read those two disgusting words.
Best post I’ve seen in years, thanks Sabre.
Korn Ferry is one topic that can galvanize this group, along with the horrible McKensie & Company group of carpetbaggers that seems intent on driving the company I work for into bankruptcy

I am old enough to remember when he said the perfect HC for Texas was RC Slocum, and yet he still draws a paycheck from the AAS some 30+ years later.

No doubt. None.

This picture has already reached iconic status, and Sam, near sainthood. Deserved.

Sam Ellinger has now become the symbol for Texas Football.

This is stupid and if these coaches try and make these players stay and punish them for not staying expect some transfers or opt outs to happen. Then we will really lose and everyone complaining will want to fire the coaching staff for not winning. For those telling these athletes to transfer because plenty of recruits will love to be in their shoes are very delusional because you all do not realize that these recruits are not going to want to come here because they see how this fan base treats players. Texas is not going to improve with all this BS happening with complaining from the fan base

Flushing these malcontents down the proverbial toilet is exactly what we want. "Then we will really lose"? We're already losing! Better to lose with players that love UT, its history, traditions, alumni and fans than with this group of turds.

I do not know a single BMD, longtime season ticket holder, or supporter of the program that would not rather lose every single game without the puppets than to win with the destruction going on and them infecting incoming recruits.

I haven’t read my email yet, but it sounds like what CDC wanted to do originally but was stopped.

As for the piss ant players, they were warned and the hand writing was on the wall during Chris’ first message to them in their first meeting with him.

They need to leave for a place that might help them get jobs after their eligibility is up. Maybe Rutgers or UConn

We are losing but the thing is nothing will change because our recruiting will go way down. This team is very talented but it has not clicked yet. I'd rather have good players and have a potential fix and start winning than accepting that we will never win with backup players. The sad part is that I 100% guarantee that nobody would be complaining and bitching if we were 4-0. Now you all look for someone to take your anger out on because we are not. The exact problem with this fan base that I am sure everyone hates. Not loyal to the program and so quick to want people to leave when you are upset. Don't act as if these players don't put their body on the line for this university daily and still have to go to class etc.. you only see these players on Saturday and want to judge them but don't acknowledge the work they put in 7 days a week.

I read his memo and it says to me they had a meeting and said you’ll stand for the eyes, don’t know if they said sing or horns up but whatever was requested the result was “no”. Hence the comment “we have plenty of work to do on this”. Not the least bit promising.

Let us know what year you graduated because I’m sensing you haven’t.

Expect kneeling if that is true.

Graduated with my Master's from the University of Texas in 2010. I am an alum and all this complaining about a song rather than the real problem at hand which is winning is stupid and irrelevant. All I care about is winning and if these players want to express their opinions by actions then who the hell am I or who the hell is anyone to tell them they can't do so? You have an opinion just like they do so why is it okay for you to state yours but not them? You can easily turn the TV off when they do leave or if your at the games you can stand and sing the song but them not doing so does not affect you whatsoever.

No offense, but you didn’t attend undergrad at Texas so you truly do not understand. If you were a true Longhorn, you would have started in Austin. We appreciate your support and loyalty, but you are a bandwagon fan in my opinion.

Ok Jacob, you have your thoughts but for me on a personal level I do not like it as I do not like the kneeling for the National Anthem. Same feeling just one is a veteran pride thing and one is a State pride thing. Silly to some I am certain.

This just goes to show how tradition is not important to the new generations. The majority of the donors are us older generations. Tradition does matter to us. I would rather lose every game and keep the traditions of this University. My donations have dried up and will continue until this group of losers and coach are gone. These primadonnas could care less about this school,so let them hit the portal.Adios

Then you are 100% wrong. I, like many other alums, feel no connection (with the exception of Sam and a few select others) to this team. They could be undefeated and I would still feel nothing but apathy. The pride and joy we as alums derive from winning stems from the fact that it's our University family that's winning. These turds are not part of my family.
